Has anyone gotten Samsung customer support to replace a BHII with a Vibrant? I know some have gotten T-mo to do it, but I bought it 3rd party.

I have just talked to executive customer service rep and they are replacing my Behold II with a Vibrant. I took the advice in another thread on these forums and it worked perfectly.

@Rickets Did you read the op?! He can't go to tmo exec. response he bought the phone third party!

Anyway since I was able to keep my b2 when tmo gave me my slide I tired to get Sammy to do just that. Well...no dice. They won't do it but will send a new b2 (on your shipping dime of course) but only once they recieve your returned phone leaving you with nothing in the meantime. Long story short samsung will do nothing for you. At least not in my experience.

The only thing they'll do is repair it if it's still under warranty, barring any conditions that void the warranty like water or physical damage.

I've had to send my wife's Behold in twice and got back the same damn phone. Hell, they wouldn't even send a new one.

Last year when I broke my G1 I bought a Samsung Highlight from Wal*Mart and T-mobile replaced it with the Behold II (albeit probably to clear inventory) in January after having the Highlight swapped out three times and then when that phone started messing up they gave me a Cliq and I kept the Behold II and kept my upgrade although it would have to be done by manual price override through T-mobile's customer support.

The following month when my upgrade became available Amazon had the Mytouch Slide for free and T-mobile comped the price.

I suggest just picking a flaw like the screen not shutting off after calling 611 or voicemail and just having them switch it out 3 times and have them lemon it out. They will do it as long as you bought it new no matter if it was from them or not.

They won't do it for him as He is not the original owner and the warrenty is nontransferable at least that is samsung AND tmo's policy. Sometimes you can get tmo to look the other way and help you out but it's the exception not the rule and samsung won't honor warrenty unless you are the original owner(see samsung warrenty info on the samsung mobile USA site, it clearly says it's nontransferable).

So what was your point then if you weren't trying to help? Just showing off and rubbing it in his face I guess...what a jerky move

He should still call Samsung -Don't mention you got it 3rd party. Just tell them the phone will not power on at all. Have the Rep look up the warranty via serial (aka EIME, or what ever the acronym is). They will walk you through the steps to turn the phone all (trouble shooting) - which you wont be able to - Right? Then they'll create a ticket and you send it in ( just make sure it really doesn't turn on when you send it in  - Right? ) I sent in a bricked behold I got off craigslist. They took my info when the ticket was created.

Wow, relax there. If i was trying to help, then why try and bash someone for doing that?

Anyway, thanks for your constructive criticism.

Do you know if they'll do it if your phone Isn't connected? I'm still on contract but I only pay $10 a month to stay on contract.
