Just trying to watch avi or wmv files on my eris on the way to work - couple of questions:

    - does yxflash work on Eris?
    - If not, are there other players that will play wmv and avi on the Eris?

Thanks in advance to the best droid/eris forum on the net...

Can't wait for the OTA this week to see if it's different from v3 leak

I am guessing it will be pretty choppy since the Eris processor really isn't up to snuff. Many of the reviews say its choppy even on the Droid and Incredible. You would be better off converting those videos to MP4, which Android plays natively, so they work perfectly.

any recommendations on a converter? The one I tried "android converter" i think is what is was called sucked - the audio lagged the video by 3 secs or so on highest settings

    Thanks for the info!

You would probably be better off finding a PC program to convert the file to MP4 on your PC, then transfer back to your Eris after it has been converted.
