Help Anyone having Bluetooth trouble

Have a Ford Sync 3.6.2 and the z993 AIO and they don't see each other. My Nexus 4 is flawless.

I'm having an issue where if i'm using a bluetooth headset with the phone, it works for a while, and then the bluetooth craps out and starts making buzzing or static sounds, and thereafter there's no audio on my end of the phone (but the other person can hear me), even if I hang up and call back. The only solution is to power the phone down completely, and then turning it back on. Even rebooting doesn't solve it.

I think it's a by-product of using a $35 phone.
