I literally just got the notification that the update is available (mine's an unlocked M8). Dithering whether or not to install it (seems like it's 5.0, rather than 5.0.2).
My experience with Android L on other devices has been mixed: I had to factory reset my Nexus 7 (2012) after the update to reduce severe lag (not that it was that great on KitKat!). My NVIDIA Shield tablet (32GB LTE on 5.0.2) is experiencing random freezing requiring hard resets, but I think that's more of a problem with NVIDIA's v2.1 of their firmware than Android L itself.
Anyone else taken the plunge and installed 5.0 yet on their M8?

Same here running it since yesterday afternoon and all is going well.
No bad things to say everything is nice and smooth doesn't seem to have affected the battery life,
Seem to have lost the ability to add a facebook account to my account's and snyc but im thinking a factory reset will probably solve that one.
Has anything else changed apart from the drop down menu and the running apps menu?
I'm not too fussed about that as I usually use the two fingered pull to get to that menu which still works, I do appear to be missing one or two off there and not sure which ones either though.
The double tap still works to wake the phone up but I never new you could unlock it with a double tap,
But yeah it looks as though the side swipes to unlock straight to blinkfeed are gone,
Never used that personally though as I dont use blinkfeed and have a dot view case.
I updated last night and have found I can no longer wirelessly tether my tablet to my phone despite my ee contract allowing tethering. Phone not rooted so will need to read up and see if I can find a solution when home from work.
Updated today, to 5.01, on Vodafone Ireland. So far so good, took ages though, at least an hour (download of 638MB took only 15 mins of that). Haven't really noticed any major speed / battery improvements though tbf it is only a few hours so I'll reserve judgement.

Annoyingly I don't seem to be able to update anymore. Was holding off for a day or so but then decided to go for it. It said it was downloading but just seemed to get stuck at 100%, so I cancelled the process.
But now the update doesn't seem to be available anymore! Grrrrr!

Thanks for the suggestion. Tried it a few times (and in different orders, with and without restarting the phone), but it's still coming up with nothing. Oh well. I'll just have to wait again!
