    I have a t989 running 4.0.4 . Baseband UVLI1. Kernel version 3.0.8. How can i safley flash aokp 4.2.2 build 5 for my phone? Whats the best recovery , which version? Best kernal that works with aokp for BLN? the steps of flashing it? :D:D:D:D:D

    I personally like the "old school way"

    Which would be ANY VERSION LOWER THAN 6.0 OF CWM. ..Boot into recovery. Darkside superwipe flash the new ROM. Then darkside cache wipe. And reboot. As far as the rest I couldn't tell you. I haven't used an aokp ROM in a while.

    Hi Bann. I moved this to the All Things Root forum for you. Did you get your phone fixed?

    Read through this root and rom guide. It may answer a lot of your questions.

    I recommend TWRP recovery over any other. Its faster, easier to use and does a better job of wiping. If you read the flashing instructions with most roms they recommend TWRP. A kernel with BLN, I'm not sure. I think BLN is usually integrated into the rom but I don't know if AOKP has it. I've been using the CM 10.1 rom.
