I'm fairly new to Android and I'm liking the OS; much more than I liked iOS. So I know the Nexus One was a bone-dry Android experience. Anyone know if there are plans to release a new stock Android phone?

    I'm not sure.

But if you root your phone, all things are possible.
I just got this for my D2.

    Good luck

yeah anything is possible with a phone if you have full support, imo once cyanogen releases a mod it means that its fully available for customization (my captivate isnt)

google recently moved the n1 from a google official sales phone to a developer phone, and with its 1ghz processor (from what i understand is minimum for gingerbread (3.0)) i imagine they will have to have some sort of "official phone". I imagine now that they have given up on the direct to consumer model it will be a bit more expensive and probably still from htc
