Here is the correct APN Setting for Straight talk users!
This will give you mms and internet!

First download Apn Backup and Restore app from app store, and delete all existing APNs. Then manually enter APNs. In android you must have 2 apns setup for mms to work (at least in my case).

    Here are my settings:

Leave everything else alone EXCEPT the bottom selection that says:

APN type (here you must enter the following)

Then save, next choose to add another APN
    make it look like this:

    skip down to

    MMS proxy

    MMS port

    skip to:
    APN type (enter the following)

You will see that only one APN has the option to be chosen, that is ok, Just choose the one that is able to be chosen.

Now go back to Homescreen and then reboot your phone.
This works for me, hope it can help you. I tried a hundred different ways and this was it. Capitalisation is important, and the APN type was the trick.
GOOD LUCK and let me know if it worked for you.

With this setting once in a while 3G will cut in and out, but other than that I've been running these settings on my device and it works pretty well.

Does anyone know the proper APN settings for Android Devices?

Hello Anthony.. I am new here looks like a great site.. Thanks for this info! I have to purchase a phone, I am waiting to hear how Verizon is going to handle the cancellation of Unlimited Data Plans which I currently have with them. But anyway my question to you is I am thinking about getting a Galaxy Note Unlocked Version and I wanted to see if you knew if I had to buy/install a Sim Card to make the whole thing work? And if so, which carrier's Sim would I need to get? or do you have to use certain phones with these pay as you go minutes? This pay as you go is new to me as well as buying an international phone.. Thanks in advance for any input you can give me!

If your going to use att or Tmoble with the Straigt talk,. You have to get the sim from them. For what ever carrier your going to use.

the posted APN settings above are not correct for Straight Talk.

that's why others are having trouble getting all their stuff to work.

I used the settings posted above and they worked fine for me. Maybe it depends on your area?

i don't think so. but i'm weary of posting them online in case not everyone should have the same ones.

but what is on the straight talk insert and what is posted here IS NOT what is set on the phone out of the box. at not least mine, and i'm in the US. shouldn't be different for regions other than other countries i wouldn't think.

That is strange because when I first found this forum, I verified the posted APN settings with my stock settings on the phone, and they were identical. So after loading one.three on my phone I had no data or MMS, then came back to this page and input the posted settings and everything started working.

I would advise anyone planning on changing their ROM to copy down their settings, or at least verify they match the posted ones, before doing so.

    you are incorrect.

this is missing from the above:

    MCC ***

    MNC ***

and APN type is incorrect: is not two separate APNs but only one with all types.

    that's what all is missing...

I used the APN settings that came with my SIM card and while wifi worked great, I was unable to get a data connection away from home. After using one other APN I found on the internet THIS is the one that worked. Thank you so much anthony062991! I registered on the site just so I could thank you.

Using the stock straight talk apn settings, no problems with web or sending text messages, but cannot download or send picture messages. My phone is a Galaxy S 4g, and my wife's is a Galaxy S Vibrant. both phones have same issue.

only gonna post this one last time.....
the mms proxy for pic msgs is

either it changed or someone f***cked up, but the last octet should be .32, not .33

incidentally, the "mcc and mnc" settings indicate the carrier, such as at&t, or tmobile...not sure what changing them could accomplish, if anything, or even if deleting them entirely would affect anything

If your Straight Talk phone access the AT&T network, the settings at the top do work, but you have to make sure your old APNs have been deleted first. Use APN Backup and Restore from the Play Store to remove any original APNs, then after putting in the ones at the top, go back to APN Backup and Restore to create a backup on your SD card.
