Help App startup

I'm having an issue with a large list of apps starting when I get online.
Is there a way I can disable these apps from starting up?

I downloaded a Startup Manager to discontinue the automatic startup of many apps. This Manager has even failed to prevent startup of only two applications, which is disappointing.

Any suggestions is much appreciated!
