I know I've seen an app which automatically sends out a text to certain people if your phone experiences certain g forces. I googled it and couldn't find anything.

My father in law just got a droid, and I want to put this on for him since he's on the road daily and for hundreds of miles, thanks!

Interesting. Let us know if it works. Well, presumably you won't be getting into an accident to test it, but you know what I mean.

If you go to it, it says doesn't work in sleep mode and most comments say the same thing. So unless you have your phone on the entire car trip it won't work. It is a good idea though and someone will make it work soon I'm sure.

I would think it would also send out a report of a car accident if you dropped the phone.

You can set the alarm deceleration threshold in order to avoid accidentally activations.

How would that help? Dropping a phone on anything harder than very plush carpet generates higher G-forces than a car impact.
