Hi, I have a HTC hero on the orange networ. I recently applied the orange firmware update from HTC. After upgrading, I can't find an application (bootrol) in the market, though I previously installed it from the market.

Did your version number change? Some apps aren't compatible with Android upgrades. For example.. some apps from Cupcake 1.5 won't work with Donut 1.6.

Im sure I read on here that after the update, their is a problem with the o
    Orange Hero and the market.
Something to do with the market not recognising it properly. As a result, it does not show apps that it should.

No way of fixing it with the orange rom and no sign of a fix.
Have a search, it's here somewhere.

Thanks guys, least I know I'm not going mad :p

Gertrude: yeah, I did notice that for some market searches, the market displays "3 items found" but doesn't list them.

Google has to update the Market to recognize the new ROM. It took around two weeks for them to do so after the last HTC Droid Eris update was released.

Yes, so for the time being you won't see any apps that are copy protected (something the developer can choose to protect their apps from being fraudulently copied)
