Leaving the GPS enabled will drain the battery significantly.

Meebo IM is a drainer monster. Takes in more battery life then the actual Android System itself.

Not that I'm an expert here by any means, but maybe it's an older version? Seems a little less sharp than the newer one.

They look like the iPhone icons. I have many similar icons that I made on my profile ... feel free to use any of them. Here is a link to my profile ( Android Forums - View Profile: thetomlin2 ) ... they are on the right hand side in my albums

That's funny. I was using Meebo IM just a few minutes ago and in one minute my battery prediction went from 50 minutes to twenty minutes.

Try using E-Buddy IM... It seems to do better on the battery and I actually prefer over Meebo IM

Its called "Tenuis Icon Pack", you can get it free in the Android Market :)

I actually like Meebo better than Ebuddy, so I just use Meebo.com on the web browser.

How come on some Android Phones I see an application called "IM" where you can use AIM and MSN and stuff like that but I dont see it on the Eris.

The IM app is even in my Manage Applications list, but I don't know of any way to run it since it won't show in the home app list.

Streaming Pandora and Slacker would drain my battery, but I think I found a fix. I just received this 1700mah battery from Ebay. It wook almost 3 weeks to receive it. I am trying to drain it now to begin a 3 day process and see how much extra life it offers to me. The battery is the right length and thickness. However it is about 1 mm shorter on the width side. So it stays in place but does not cover the same amount of area as the original HTC battery, but it works and it was only about $8.

I am actually going to order another one that is 2000mah to see how that works.
