I have been playing around with two applications that have widgets to show estimated battery life left:

    Battery Left Widget
Battery Left Widget for Android - Tools

    JuicePlotter
    JuicePlotter for Android - Tools

At one point, they seemed to show times that were pretty close but after updating to 2.1 they were off a bit. I am guessing 2.1 might have changed (hopefully improved) battery life and that caused calibration issues.

I am just looking for any feedback from the community about which of these two apps they prefer, or if there are others I should look into. Of course, two of my main concerns are 1) I don't want an app that drains the battery and 2) accuracy is important.

    Thanks for any feedback!

I noticed too that battery left was way below the system level. Recalling now.

it may not be accurate because you guys have may have the update frequency at a longer time interval under setting.

BatteryLeft for estimation - JuiceDefender for management - I have used the JuicePlotter widget, meh, not impressed. The plotter graph view is nice though.

I have had wild numbers on battery left before. I will have to check out juice plotter.

Yesterday I had 90% system, and battery left said I had 36%...
Way after calibration. Its been off since.

If you find an application that can read your mind as to your planned use of the Droid, let me know! :D

    +1

Some people have ridiculously high expectations for something that is an *estimation*. Battery Left Widget FTW!

I have gotten that here and there. Usually it's after a recovery or ROM change.
