Not so. Apps2D will work on 2.1. See my root guide, it installs Apps2SD by default.

    Also see my signature.

Delete all apps... (back them up, or re-install them from market later).
Go into Samdroid Tools, and enable Apps2SD.
Now check out what size is available on SD via Samdroid Tools.

If this works for you, then there has been a change to Samdroid Kitchen whereby you now need to go insto Samdroid Tools to enable it.

Apps2SD used to be enabled by default.

On my phone for example, Samdroid Tools shows

    SD Card (for apps2sd)
    8100396kb free (810Mb out of 1GB)

    Internal Storage
    138252Kb Free (140Mb out of 140Mb)

And I have quite a few apps intalled.

Follow my Root guide to install the latest firmware. Continue with the guide to Root the phone. Once rooted, you can then install Samdroid kitchen Mod, and then the SamDroid Turbo mod.

You're gonna wanna check a different section on the forum for that bud, this section is for the Galaxy Lite/Portal/Spica only, the X10 Mini requires a different process to root it.

i ve combed out everywhere.finally i finded the solution.after you rooted you need to restart the item.than you d set up apps how much you need dpend on it the memorry becomes less aroud 32mb from 147mb(for 40 apps)now enter menu-samdroidtools-appstosd settings than mark the enable apps2sd and mark the the move dcache to sd button.back once click to reboot for confirm the differents.phone will be restaring wow wow you can see internal memorry's value is around 130mb

notes:the problem solved on 2.2 froyo.by the time you set up any app on device it asks you where it located in as internal or external

I understand this is different section, but I feel compelled to direct those on this thread with Sorry Errorsson Xperias over to some other helpful places. Xperia X10 | Xperia X10 Blog | X10 mini pro | Xperia X8 | Forum, Tips, News is a good place and they have all the links to other device model specific forums. Today they have instructions specifically related to JIT enabling and rooting that may be helpful to all! Have a good day.

How do we see your root guide? Like where is it? I'm sorry, I'm new to Android Forums. But this is something I'd really like to do, get apps2sd for 2.1 so I can have a lot of apps.
    Thanks :)

you can use link 2 sd
    download in market https://market.android.com/details?id=com.buak.Link2SD&feature=search_result
description :Link2SD is an application that makes it easy for Android 1.6+ users with root privileges on their phone to move applications to the SD card.
The idea behind is same with apps2sd scripts, linking applications to SD card's second partition but differs in two ways.
One, instead of linking /data/app folder (that means moving all applications), you can select applications that you want to move.
Two, it's an application which means has a user interface. You can manage your applications, create or remove links with just one click.
    - Creates and removes link for apk, dex and lib files of the applications you select
    - Lists applications, shows their link status
    - Sorts and filters applications
    - Displays available space information of internal storage, SD card and SD card 2nd partition.
    What you need:
    - root permission.
    - a second partition on your SD card.
You should have two partitions on SD card and both should be primary.
The first FAT partition is your standard SD card storage. The second partition is used for application files and can be ext2, ext3, ext4 or FAT32.
Some phones lack the ext2, ext3 or ext4 file system support and you may get mount errors like "no such device", "invalid argument". These phones need ext2.ko or ext3.ko modules and even some additional modules to be able to mount. Using FAT32 on the second partition will eleminate such problems, because FAT32 is supported on all phones.
Link2SD does not create the second partition, you need to create it yourself. You can use any partition manager such as Minitool, Paragon, Easeus etc. for this.
    How it works:
Link2SD mounts the second partition of your SD card and makes OS mounts it at boot time.
When you select an application and press "Create Link" button you can select which files of the application will be linked and moved to SD card. Apk, dex and lib files can be moved and you can select all three or any two of three or even only one of them.
Then, according to your selection, Link2SD moves apk file, dalvik-cache (.dex) file and lib files (.so) to SD card's second partition and creates symbolic links in original directories.
Note: On Android 1.6 and 2.1, shortcut and the widget of the app should be re-added to homescreen if you move the apk file.
Can I remove the links and put application files back to phone?
Yes, just click on application that is linked and press "Remove Link" button. You can select which files of the application will be unlinked and moved back to internal storage.
Then, Link2SD removes the symbolic links and moves the files you selected to original directories.
What happens if I uninstall a linked application?
If you uninstall a linked application apk, dex and lib files will be automatically deleted from the SD card by Link2SD.
What happens if I update a linked application?
If you update a linked application new apk, dex and lib files will be placed in the internal memory at first and then they will be automatically relinked by Link2SD in the background.
You don't have to manually relink after updating applications.
Note: Since the app is linked again, On Android 1.6 and 2.1, shortcut and the widget of the app should be re-added to homescreen if the apk file is linked.
    Some points
    - Link2SD detects applications which are already moved to SD card on Android 2.2+ natively and disables create link for them.
    - System applications should not be linked to SD card. Link2SD does not allow these applications to be linked.
    - When you connect your phone to PC as mass storage, Android unmounts first FAT partition but the second partition remains mounted. Therefore linked applications are not affected and can be run without problems.
    - Link2SD does not move application's private data directory; it moves apk, dex (dalvik-cache) and lib files.
