Appt. ALARM vs. a simple REMINDER

I understand how apparently nice it is that my phone can make a beep, jingle, honk, or other temporary noise when I'm being reminded of an appointment. Here's the thing--I don't need REMINDED of an upcoming appointment. I need ALARMED, so I have to actually take action to stop the noise. Otherwise I just ignore it, don't hear it, etc. My alarm always gets my attention. I use my alarm clock app daily to schedule some appointments, but what I really want is the same function built into my calendar. Any ideas?

You could try Light Flow, this allows for repeat notifications (led & sound) for many (most) notifications including calendar.
