Maybe me being a bit pessamistic but you'd have to fit the capabilities of a controller with 24 Different button presses, now i know there is a keyboard on the dream but still it would be impossible to remember all the keys, and if you tried to use touchscreen on it youd only have a tiny bit of the screen to see ;)

    but thats just me thinking.

oh and back to the question

    i dont know sorry ;)

id say it depends on which phone you are talking about.

take those specifications below which work for all psp's.

then go to GSMArena.com and look up which phone you want to compare.

specs alone are not a good enough deciding factor...depends on how stuff is coded also.

    PSP CPU Core:

    • Sony CXD2962GG CPU
    • Based on MIPS R4000 32-bit Core
    • 90 nm Semiconductor CMOS Process
    • 1-333 MHz (set at 222 MHz by default) @ 1.2V
    • 16 KB Instruction Cache / 16 KB Data Cache
    • SiP:

    • 1-166 MHz (set at 111 MHz by default) @ 1.2V
    • 256-bit Bus at 5.3 Gbps
    • 2 MB eDRAM (VRAM)
    • 3D Curved Surface and 3D Polygon
    • Compressed Textures
    • Hardware Clipping, Morphing, Bone(8)
    • Hardware Tessellator
    • Bezier[disambiguation needed], B-Spline (NURBS)

    • 4x4, 16x16, 64x64 Subdivision

    • Rendering Engine and Surface Engine
    • Pixel Fill Rate: 664 Megapixels/s
    • Up to 33 Million Polygon/s (with Transform & Lighting)
    • 24-bit Full Color: RGBA

    Media Engine Co-Processor:

    • Sony CXD1876 CPU
    • Based on MIPS R4000 32-bit Core
    • 90 nm Semiconductor CMOS Process
    • 1-333 MHz (set at 222 MHz by default) @ 1.2V
    • 16 KB Instruction Cache / 16 KB Data Cache
    • SiP:

    • 2 MB eDRAM @ 2.6 Gbps
    • Embedded Virtual Mobile Engine (VME) Sound Core

    • Reconfigurable DSP Engine
    • 1-166 MHz (set at 166 MHz by default) @ 1.2V
    • 128-bit Bus
    • 24-bit Data Path
    • 5 GFlops

    • 128-bit Bus @ 2.6 Gbps

Yes, it is. Not by much but it is.
It's cause you can't look at the specs plainly by comparing CPU speeds. They're all different CPUs, different graphic chips, and so on...

PSP is basically slightly stripped down version of PS2, so technicaly even though it doesn't look impressive on paper (or screen) it still is series of very specialised chips that have been designed with gaming and gaming only in mind (it even has native PSX emulation at full speed) - therefore it is better. However, the new Android devices are getting more and more powerfull and even though they have not been designed with gameplay as a goal, they will soon overpower PSP in it's own ground. Not yet though, as even though being very powerful per each component basis, they're still designed as multimedia devices with other pusposes than games considered the most important ones.
