Help Are you still getting email notification?

Hi all.. is it just me, or has anyone else out there suddenly stopped receiving email notification? I don't think I have changed anything, and I've not added a task killer... I have always received email notification before.. I have notification allowed in gmail, email, and k9, and still no notification: I have to go into the application and do a manual refresh 8(

I use a "@googlemail.com ". account on orange UK.

Any help will be very welcome.

Go into system settings and the accounts & sync screen and make sure you've got background data and auto-sync enabled.

no problems here so far...operating normal.

I had this problem last week. When I checked auto sync it was still on so assumed that was not the issue. A couple of frustrating days later I looked again at the sync saw only calendar and contacts were set to sync, not email. Turned that back on and voila. Not sure how it got turned off.
