    Lycos! The Web Crawler! Good memory! Infoseek was the first one I used as I recall. Bought by Disney, turned into Go.com and then augered right into the ground.

    No Mosaic was one of the earliest GUI web browser - it's code base became Netscape unless my late-night memory is totally whacked. If you used a browser that was just text and shell-like to you, that was likely Lynx.

    What's my next question?
