Pleeeease answer this one for me. Mine is in the mail and I'm dreading being disappointed depending on what I find out about this but is that weird pinch to zoom bug/implementation in play with the N5 as it is with the N4? On the N4 when you put your fingers together on the screen and began to pinch out, the screen wouldn't zoom or react right away and your fingers would have to go pretty far away from each other before it reacted. On other phones like the S4 and especially iPhones, if you put your fingers together on the screen and began to pinch out (to zoom in) it would react instantaneously. It definitely seemed like it was done on purpose though for starters all the models of N4 I've tested reacted the same and also if I placed my fingers on the screen farther away from each other and than began to spread them apart sure enough it would react instantaneously however if they were close together and I began to push out (to zoom in) it definitely seemed like it was waiting for my fingers to get a certain length apart before reacting. It was very noticeable to me and VERY frustrating... Please tell me the N5 doesn't do this???? Can you create a short video? :)

I would like to know what kind of keyboard language options are available for the Nexus 5. I am looking into mainly the Asian keyboard if available. Thanks!

Kind of a programing question, but will developers and rom hackers be able to reprogram the co-processor on the Nexus 5 to give us true moto x style touchless control? That's my killer feature I'm hoping for.

Does the new Google Hangouts app on the Nexus 5 have the expandable actions (reply, Mark as Read, etc) in the Notification Shade? I have gotten so use to this with the standard Messaging app If I switch to Hangouts for SMS/MMS I would hate to lose this convenience.

If he is, he's much more charming than I imagined an antichrist to look. And I don't know!

;) Glad you got it worked out. Thanks for editing with the answer!

This was not accurate as far as I can tell. The only built-in backup is what we've had since legacy versions of Android (ie, backing up contacts to Google, photos to G+, and apps in the Play Store).

I do not, but it is on my list of things to buy. I've been needing one for other devices anyway, so I'm definitely going to be "adding to cart" a bit later today. I'll add that to my list of things to address.

I have not had a chance to test it "on the road" yet, but I was able to get a fairly quick lock inside. It took maybe 3 seconds from the time I launched the app to the time it pegged my location. I haven't used the Galaxy S4 extensively so I can't speak to the speed compared to that, however I think 3 seconds is pretty good. I'll have to see how it holds up in motion the next time I'm out.

Your answers are included within the quote! :)

Sadly, it doesn't. This was a new native feature with KitKat, but Google didn't think to include one here. Not everything they do makes sense ;)

26.18GB out of 26.76GB total. Not too shabby.

Can the Nexus 5 work with Verizon Wireless (VZW)? I'm not asking if VZW would allow it, I'm asking if the device itself has the capability of working on VZW's network?

Is the dialer and most other apps white themed now? Are there any options to set the theme to dark?

With the signal/wifi icons now gray/white, do you freak out thinking your data/wifi isn't connected?

Makes perfect sense, google needed to support the IR blaster that was already present in the Google Edition HTC ONE and Galaxy S4 :) ;)

I'm wondering if when your listening to music through your headphones is it as loud as a galaxy s4 would be. Bc on the nexus 4 putting headphones on sounded extremely low compared to the s4

I have an nexus four and am considering Nexus five.I am not a tech head and at 75 years struggle a bit with technology. Some of the main problems I had with the Nexus four apart from battery life were the difficulties in providing any feedback about minor hassles and the lack of clear instructions for us oldies.I couldn't ever get the camera instructions off-line which was when I was likely to need them most. I'm wondering if I get Nexus five will all my stuff be automatically synced to it. E.g. people, evernote, calendar, apps I have paid for, chrome bookmarks, photos, keep, books, phone numbers[although they should all be in people i suppose].
    Any advice appreciated.

Does the Nexus 5 do Miracast? I haven't seen that listed. I use Miracast several times a week to display my screen to my TV. My Nexus 5 arrives tomorrow.

Does the kitkat build for nexus 5/phones have the expandable volume controls like on the nexus 7, or is it still confusing for novice users to understand and manage the multiple volumes of the phone without digging in the settings.

how smooth is the interface and overall scrolling (settings, internet browser) compared to the iPhone? Is it just as a smooth or is there a more noticeable delay with actual responsiveness of the screen as you move your finger around?

Do you know if the Nexus 5 support 3-button remotes like the one on the a-Jays Five headset ?

The N4 didn't support them and a-Jays don't have an N5 to test with yet.

yeah, I need to know how fast will it focus? Ie. On moving children etc.
Also more about the slideshow generator - the clone of the HTC One highlight video..

Don't want to hijack anything, but I actually kinda like this one better than the HTC One's - you have a bit more control over exactly what goes into it.
