ASUS hit with smartphone sales injunction in Germany

Philips is suing ASUS in Germany over a patent dispute. Philips wants a temporary injunction on ASUS phones sold in the country which violate their patents, specifically one which relates to the design of the recent apps screen.

In fact, the patent seems to cover the implementation that most Android OEMs are using, as Google has had to go as far as issuing a patch to other OEMs who want to make sure they avoid legal trouble with Philips.
