Help Attaching files to emails

Can you attach a file to your gmail email? I don't see the option for it.

While in a reply or compose screen, tap Menu>Attach. It only allows me to attach photos though.

If you browse to the file you can attach it to a gmail, but you cannot do it from within the app.

Ridiculous limitation to the GMail app, IMHO.

Stock Mail app and K-9 will allow attachments.

Just install the free OI file manager. You will then have an option to use OI File manager when attaching an attachment in any of the email programs (meaning you will be able to browse and attach ANY file that you have permissions to access).

Not sure why this app isn't pre-installed.

Thanks. I've been trying to figure out how to attach document files without having to back out of gmail. Having to go to the actual document to initiate gmail is bass-ackwards. This app now saves me from having to do this until they fix the gmail app.
