Hello,

For a while I've been looking for a perfect solution for something like "docking station" for note 3. Since there is none made for 3.0 micro usb, now I'm thinking of combining one with different adapters.
So firstly I already have adapter from 3.0 micro male to 3.0 usb female (1). I'm thinking to connect it with something like "EasyAcc® Superspeed USB 2.0 OTG 3 Port USB Hub" (2). then buying an adapter like "Willtoo(tm) 2015 USB 3.0 to Hdmi Hd 1080p Video Cable Adapter Converter for Pc Laptop" (3).
So in theory, I'm, thinking that I will get to charge my phone + usb connections, and if I need I could also use hdmi to connect my phone to a tv.
But I have no idea will this work, or just go with some smoke.
My question: should it work? Mabey anyone already tried it?

Power is supplied on the USB 2 side of the connection.

MHL isn't just software - it's a hardware toggle in the MHL controller chip.

Once it's on, USB data lines are switched off.

The only exception may be with the Samsung dock specifically designed for use with select Samsung models.

Unfortunately, the Samsung Smart Dock is not hardware compatible with the Note 3.

Not sure - does that help answer the question?

Or are you trying to piece together your own smart dock equivalent?
