Sup everyone. Just curious about Android OS Auto-Rotation system, and how it matches up to competitors. Before anything I am NOT complaining, just a thought.

So everyone has seen how the Auto-Rotation is on iPhone, Palm Pre' and Android handsets, and I was curious... shouldnt Android phones be able to do this task just as smooth as iPhone and Palm Pre'? Bringing this to my thought was the app "Floating Image". The Auto-Rotation on the app is amazing, and that just shows me, and makes me wonder, why cant all the other apps have the AR as smooth as this? (Even the keyboard). The slow delaying fade away is kind of a drawback (to an extent) know that Im 100% Android is capable of doing over and beyond that.

    What do you guys think?

some say it works some dont' but i thought it made a bit of a difference. Download "Bubble" from the market and calibrate all four sides of the Hero. Noticed albums app rotate pics much quicker nd handcent also rotates faster too... its free btw

Who makes the app bubble? This is my biggest annoyance with the Hero so far.

Yeah ive done the whole bubble thing, no real big difference here either. I would just imagine that the transition could be made much smoother. Not trying to be picky, just love how it would make the over-all feel for the phone be xD

Yeah I'm just spoiled by my iPod touch. That thing rotates instantly and in every direction I might add.

Biggest difference for me was using Spare Parts to change animation speeds to 'fast' or 'none'

    +2.

I turned all animations off and made them none. Sped stuff up as far as that goes..

What exactly does this do? If I change to the same, what differences should I see?
