Is there a such thing as an app that will change my wallpaper randomly?? I'm running a Droid Eris with 2.1.

I'm using Mabilo, I kept having problems with Wall Switch. Suddenly it would go to a grass pic and never seem to recover, it was really odd. I tried to figure out what was causing it (adding or removing things from the folder it was pulling from, etc) but could never pinpoint it so I gave up.

Weird. I have been using it all day and havent had problems. Whats mabilo have to do with it? Does it auto download pics or something? I am using zedge and picked the folder that zedge downloads too, but im unware as too how zedge or mabilo would affect this app?

What I mean is Mabilo has the ability to auto rotate wallpapers as well so I use it in place of Wallswitch for now. I don't like that it puts an icon in the notification bar but it works and works well. I had problems with Wallswitch where once a day it would put a picture that is not in the folder I've set as the background.

Just out of curiosity, are you rooted? I was having a similar problem immediately after I installed the Cyanogen rom.

I am, but the problem was there before rooting. When I am rooted it is the default skateboarding icon that shows up occasionally, when I was not rooted it was the grass pic (not the one that is similar to the live wallpaper, the "real" grass pic).

Thanks trying it out. Its running right now. Seems very glitch free so far. Only thing I dont like as much is the notification icon, is there anyway to turn that off? Other than that seems to be working really well.

Yeah later on I was having that problem too, it would show the blue wallpaper with the water that you see with the regular google home. Im trying out wallpaper rotator right now, but good to know that mabilo has this feature as well.

The only other thing about Mabilo I don't know like is it seems like it is a bit more intensive and/or intrusive than the others. Not only does it have the notification icon but it seems like when you've come back from a reboot it needs to start itself first before all your widgets, etc, will load properly.

I'm actually back to using Wallswitch for a while and just waiting for the fix. I also think the developer needs to make the widget MUCH smaller. 4x1 is huge for just a wallpaper switching widget, it only needs to be 1x1.

The first app that was posted in this thread, I've been running on 2.1 on the Eris and it's been flawless.

Yes, PLEASE give us a way to turn off the notification. If you clear it, it just comes back. I don't need a notification to know that my wallpapers are being switched.

I'd also like to see a greater variations in the intervals for switching the wallpapers, or the ability to set that one's self.

Otherwise, great app. I'm glad I found it, since Wallswitch went wonky on me.
