I'm looking for an app which automatically switches from 4g/3g network to 2g when the screen is locked and from 2g to 3g/4g when it's unlocked without root: 2g is still perfect to receive push notifications, but it uses much less battery.
I know that it isn't possible to do that directly without root, but I would suggest to use an approach similar to the one greenify in non-root mode uses: through an accessibility service, its "hibernation+lock screen" widget force closes apps to hibernate and then locks the screen, I guess by simulating taps to the button 'force close' in the information page for every app.
If someone created an app like that, I would be grateful to them forever.
