I think I did see some flashcards, but I don't remember what they were called.

At least you know they exist?

    Let me do a search...
    I searched baby.

    - There's something called BabyDroid that costs $0.99 and has some good reviews.
    - Baby Flash Cards by Dream Cortex is free and has lots of good reviews.
    - Baby Puzzle by Ivan Volosyuk has great reviews. Puzzle game with animal sounds.
    - Funny Touch Screen by Multimedia atelier is free and has some fun games for younger kids. Lots of good reviews but it does have a rather large download to start with.
    - Happy Flash Cards Free Edition by DFKL Technologies Pte Ltd looks good too.

See, all it took was a simple search.

Baby Puzzle may be is too early for the 8 month old. My daughter played with ToddlerLock when she was in that age.

it is my first post so I decided to share my recent find. Our 2 year old loved the baby faces book and I found yesterday very cute app for Android "Happy Baby Faces".

It is nice that phone keys are locked and I can upload our pictures as well, so baby can recognize his parents, grandparent and his friends :) He also likes to copy funny baby sounds and shake the phone to hear rattles.

    hope this helps

Try my clap count game or bubble learn. These games can teach your child basic numbers and letters even though he or she might not fully grasp the concepts right now. Both games are free.

also there is Toddler Video Player Free from the same developer so you can play any video on your phone and lock the phone keys.
