    Hi all,

I'm coming from a Blackberry and I love that I was able to backup my entire phone on my computer with the desktop software. Is there any comprable app or software for android (even if its not free) where I don't have to root my phone?

    Thanks!

EDIT: Looked through the threads a little deeper and found some good options.

Then you're not backing up your entire phone, rom manager has a backup option that backs up the whole system that you can restore later on if something went hay wired, but you need root for that. Use z4root, it can unroot too.
Other options are titanium backup and mybackup.

Titanium backup for sure. You can also use it to uninstall the junkwares like AT&T music / Mobile TV etc that came with the phone.

Full backups require root. Even apps like MyBackup which will offer some functionality without root cannot do a full, perfect backup without root and state as much on their home page. Titanium Backup requires root.

    See the Captivate FAQ:
