Help Backup prompt every day

[backup prompt]

Anyone know why I keep getting a black screen saying "a full backup to a connected desktop computer has been requested" every morning when I unlock my galaxy S6?

Ah, yeah, I haven't heard of this before, so I thought that it might be an S6-specific issue....

Let's try in the SG S6 area for a bit...if you don't get any feedback, we can always move you back to here in the Android Questions area.

Ok. I installed avg antivirus and malware bytes after this message started appearing to see if that was any issues on my phone so don't think it's them. the only other one is smart manager thats pre installed but I cant see any options on there about backing up

How long ago did this message start popping up every morning? Can you think of any app you installed around that same time?

Looks like I've sorted it. went into the phone settings and there's s option for auto backup. for some reason it was switched on.

I have (on my Nexus 6P) the Back up my data enabled in Settings -> Backup & reset, but I don't get the prompts that you mentioned...

Can you tell us which Settings page and options were checked for you (perhaps it is an S6-specific thing?).
