    I just got a brand new Samsung Galaxy S 4G from T-Mobile. I have only had it two days. From day 1 it has been freezing up. Freezing in the contacts list, freezing in the call log, freezing on the main screen, freezing on the lock screen, freezing in the email boxes. Did I mention freezing??

    Also, when a call would come in that was not saved in my contacts, the number would not appear in the call log after the call.

    Inboxes would be empty, and if not, would not update, or would freeze during a refresh.

    This is my first samsung ever. I have used an iphone and blackberry, and went with this phone for work. But if it is failing miserably at its basic functions, how can i count on it as a work phone?

    Did I just happen to get a defective device?

    I'd say yes. Bring it back, Tmo is very, very good at customer service and you are easily within the warranty period.
