i was wondering, say i was to do a print at home ticket, could i just pull the bar code up on my phone for the gate person to scan?

seems like the prefect way to buy last minute cheap tickets on stub hub

in theory it should work. whether or not the venue would accept it is another question.
you might encounter a really confused ticket taker.

Just an FYI and this shouldn't be an issue, but some scanners are unable to scan the screen and the number has to be typed out manually.

I know the Detroit Tigers offer this as an option when you buy tickets. As far as other places go, scanning the barcode on your phone will technically work, but its up to the venue to accept it. I would call the venue and see if they offer this like the Tigers do.

i sent an email to teh white sox. they said you needed a printed ticket and they couldn't do anything.

    BUT.

the lady i talked with is passing along my suggestion to more powerful people. assuming they do it, cheap last minute tickets for all.
