Help battery drain

I got the S2 a few days ago, and it's running 2.3.6
I've factory reset the phone once because battery drain was just enormous.
Here are a few screenshots. - this is after changing wifi settings to "when screen turns off". This is also after "calibrating the battery" as many people suggested, but I'm not too convinced about it.

Is it normal? I've seen many people get over a day of battery life - no roots, no custom mods.

I believe at this point in the pictures, I was down to about 55%

Apparently there is something wrong with the ROM build (the 2.3.6 update which would have come already on your phone, if you got your phone recently), which makes the phone continually waste battery on wifi. Some people say that if they turn off wifi, they can get noticeably better battery life, while others suggest that turning off GPS/location does the trick. Yet others say the best method is to flash to the version before the 2.3.6 update (which apparently had very great battery life).

The other option is to see how the Ice Cream Sandwich update will solve (or not solve) the issue.

I don't know if this will help you or not but I use a data enabler toggle widget on my GS2. I don't generally need things pushed to my phone ever and if I want to check email/web or whatever I simply enable it. I am able to get some pretty incredible battery life by doing this. I realize some of you need/want data on 24/7 but this is an excellent and extremely simple and unobtrusive way to conserve. Results like this are not uncommon with light/moderate use.
