There have been many, many threads on ways of obtaining the best battery life from the S4 and indeed other phones. The answers all come from users with their own personal views as to how to achieve this.
Have any of the manufactures of those batteries offered their expert advice (as opposed to opinions of end users) as surely they are the ones to provide an accurate reply?

Problem it's that manufacturer don't just make batteries for one device but 100s if not 1000s. They can only say what the optimum conditions are for battery, like temperature etc.

They would not know what device is doing what to their battery. It should be up to the developer of the device itself to explain how to get the best out of a battery. There are just to many variables to consider for a battery manufacturer to even attempt to guess what the best usage for any given device and it's OS is.

Thanks for the link, but I am just a layman and the jargon and depth of detail is beyond my brain cells. If there was a summary contained therein it would have been helpful.
