I got a samsung galaxy apollo upgrade a week ago and since then the battery has completely died within a day of charging on three occasions. I called orange to see if there was anything they could tell me that would increase battery life and the chap on the other end without any prompting has sent me a brand new handset plus battery by courier on a sunday delivery free of charge. This tells me that they are aware of this problem and have had the same call on other occasions. I would appreciate any feedback on this.

    Welcome to the Android Forums!

With battery problems sometimes you can work them out by changing your battery profile to a more economical mode. Change screen brightness can also assist in reducing the battery consumtpion.

Just an update to my last post. After three replacement handsets orange finally agreed that there must be a problem with this model handset and replaced it with a new samsung wave. I've had this for three days so far and the battery is fine. Not the fault of orange but samsung should address this and acknowledge that there is a possible software problem with the apollo. I have to say that in my opinion this is a far superior handset. Anyone else out there with the same problem could try bugging orange like I did. You never know it might get you a result.
