I've seen lots of web pages about maximizing your Android battery life, but nothing about this...
Normally, my Android runs all day without any problems, but sometimes it gets hot in my pocket and I discover it has used up all its battery. I look in the task manager and don't find any apps running. It's just sitting there, dark, quiet, getting hot.
The battery life display always says
32% on the display,
28% on Waze (which isn't running now),
10% on Cell standby, and lower from there.
I did find that I'd left WAZE running one time this happened.
Let's see, I have Lookout and the Go launcher, but nothing else I'd expect to be running all the time. There is this huge pile of apps that came with it.
What do you think it's doing? I usually leave wifi off, gps on and mobile data on. Perhaps a virus from the Mideast, or Mars?
