Root battery success!

I too noticed the battery usage issue with the DINC so I installed JuiceDefender and System panel lite and it seemed a little better. I then installed the Hydra kernel and leaving the stock rom as is, my battery graph has barely moved in over 12 hrs!...Not a heavy user but I was playing Angry Birds for about 30 mins..have wireless turned off but BT on...now at home have BT off and wireless on..
I wont be updating my ROM any time soon

I use juice defender and I've set up some profiles with Tasker. When i play a game (like Angry Birds) it dims the screen slightly and turns off data (this has the benefit of removing most ads from the game). This combo has really improved my battery life.

I like juice defender for days when I listen to mp3's only. On days when I'm listening to pandora and slacker I have to disable jd cause soon as I turn off the screen jd kills my data connection, which then kills my music. Not cool when you're a music lover who drives for a living

Actually, you guys ought to consider picking up the Seidio 3500 extended battery for the Incredible. That one purchase solved ALL of my battery issues and lets me run my display (I have an AMOLED screen) *cranked* to the max - I like the way it looks - and have GPS, wifi, and everything under the sun, turned on and still go two or three days between charges. Why play games trying to extend your existing battery life when there's an actual solution available?

My two-cents worth...

dam man i have the 1750 extended batt and i can go 24 hours on heavy uses and can go about 2 days manybe a lil longer if i am not using it much

try the 1750 it dose not need a new back cover and ALL cases will fit it being that it dose not need a new back

Seidio gives you a free battery cover with the extended battery, and they sell a case that covers the phone, the extended battery and the free battery cover. Check out Amazon.
