The battery life on this is sad. I have to charge it everyday. I run the task killer and it still dies. And a quick note now if you buy a phone from ebay or anywhere besides Verizon you do not have a warrenty.

I finally got my phone to got 24 hours on a single charge with the stock battery. That includes some periods of heavy usage and then others with it just sitting in my pocket.

no reason to get defensive. i have no problem helping, just saying that you probably could have found it faster looking for it on your own than waiting for someone to post the answer on here.
hope i was able to help you though :)

24 hours is bad battery life? Compared to what? My old blackberry only got about 24 hours and couldn't do 1/10 of the things that my Eris can. Get a car charger and a house charger. I don't think anything running apps/wifi/bluetooth all day will get much more than that either way.

All smart phone except for blackberries have to be charged everyday. (As stated previously, this is because Blackberries don't DO anything)

I can, by toggling my settings as my needs see fit, get easily a full 12 hours out of my phone with medium-heavy use.

First I went through the battery optimization that lglddrgdlr had posted.

and second i deleted some of the apps that i wasnt using and didnt need.

Third, i changed the sync schedule for my email to every 2 hours and facebook to every 8 hours, since the notifications are useless i just wanted it for the contact pictures.

I went with the Seidio 1750 battery too. It adds no extra weight or bulk but gives just enough extra juice to finally get through a day. Even with all the tweaks and trying to turn off the things you really want to use, but can't because they drain your battery, I was quite unhappy with the stock battery. Why have a smart phone if you can't use 1/2 the useful stuff because it drains your battery? On a heavy use day I still don't make it all the way until bed time, but at most days it's not a problem. I sure wish they could push a standard-size battery beyond 1750mah though.

Dont use task Killiers, Android will just turn everything back on again its designed to do that. Therefor you using more juice to do what its designed to do.

I haven't had a bb yet that could go two days unless I didn't touch the thing. People who claim two days with heavy use are lying. I can kill a bb in 8 hours no problem.
