BB v0.4 memory management

    Does anybody know how to lower it from 50 free MB to say 30? Its killing Facebook when I run slacker and vice versa

    There used to be a script to do it, but looking at the list for 0.4 I don't see it.

    You could download Autokiller from the market and change it with that.

    I dont like autokillers, I saw Fab say something once about being able to go into the system files and be able to change it.

    Ok, the file is /system/etc/install-recovery.sh

    The line you want to modify is

    Code (Text):
    1.  
    2. echo "xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx" > /sys/module/lowmemorykiller/parameters/minfree
    3.  
    To convert those number to MB, multiply by (6/1536). Take a look at what Pete has chosen as his 6 "steps". You can modify yours to fit your needs.

    For example, I use:
