Why do I have a feeling that it would never be answered. If you watch the Moment clips did definitely didn't answer any questions about newer versions of android... and they are as eager as us BH2 users.

Silly link is crashing my Firefox.

I agree with Mastermind, I think you'll see a good amount of ducking & dodging and the Oh so cliche' reply "there are no further updates at the moment". At times I just wish they'd say "you'll get it when hell freezes over" or something to that nature so we can stop with all our false hopes.

BTW - did anyone get the OTA bug fix?

nope the bug fix has still not gone ota. i told yall it wouldn't happen today, but it will happen. if you watch the mp3 player clips (i know that has nothing to do with our phone) one of them is talking about a firmware update and how to do it for that player, so maybe just maybe next weekend will be good and we'll get some info for updates that do pertain to our phone. by the way the episode that will be on the 19th is about the behold 2 connectivity with samsung pc studio!

Even if we can't get any OS update info from the video, at least it makes me think they haven't completely given up on us, and we will get it once they get their sh!t together. I mean, they're sinking SOME money into support/customer relations for this phone... Though at this point I've pretty much turned my attention to the dev community, and given up on any official advancements, and am looking forward to the Galaxy ROM.

Speaking of which, I've searched and haven't found the answer--can I root and flash the Galaxy using an Intel Mac running 10.4 (Tiger), or do I need Leopard? MrAndroid's tutorial (killer, amazing work btw) refers only to Leopard in the ADB tutorial. Thanks to anyone who can answer this--obviously, I know only what I've read here when it comes to doing this...

Having watched some of the file videos on that channel, it looks like SB2 Tips and Tricks will be the order of the day. Their premise is "how to help you get the most out of your phone" so, I doubt if they will get into serious discussion about updates. These videos assume that that user knows very little. I don't think this group will be excited about that level of coverage. Just a thought after viewing the site's coverage of other phones.

I agree w/Shawn and Mastermind, I don't think this will be the day of revelation.

Dude the fact is that you have no idea what will be discussed so why do you have to be so negative and piss all over everything. Btw I guess you already have pc studio working with the b2 then since you think nothing of value will be discussed.

. Simply look at the other videos listed on the channel. There is one for other Samsung phones (Notice that there isn't one for the Behold2 yet). They are listed for anyone to see. It isn't being negative discussing what is there. It is simply stating the obvious. Take the time and view the contents of the channel. Sharing the types of videos that they list isn't negative. It is just information. SPSTV is a help channel for customers to become familiar with and get the most out of their equipment. This is stated on the page if you care to look. The program is called Keep It Simple.

I didn't say that nothing of value will be discussed. After viewing the other videos, I inferred that many people in this discussion are beyond newbie level (having rooted their phones etc) and are therefore more advanced than a person who needs a "how-to" video. Just like Google posted videos for Google Voice and Google Wave that walk you through how to use those services, Samsung is now doing the same thing on this channel for their equipment. Not negative, just directed at a certain user experience group. It is infinitely better than trying to work one's way through a manual, for sure.

For the record: I love the SB2 which is why I still have it. I hate the buggy 1.5 - I and others are waiting for one thing - the official release date of the update on the OS. So anything...anything that comes out regarding the SB2 has an audience with rapt attention...but we are seeking information about the update and not how to use the phone. And that is Dude-ette, if you please :p

Hey don't roll your eyes at me dude-ette! Lol! Seriously I ment no offense, but I think you may be short sighted here. There were vids posted for the samsung moment right around the time that a bug fix for those users went ota, just like the b2 may be poised to do now. The b2 as it stands now can not be connected to samsung pc studio, well on the Friday show they will show how to do just that, which means there is a new version of the software or a new way to connect. Either way it means there is innovation for this phone and it is being supported by samsung to some extent, and maybe just maybe updated as well. We all have our opions but don't condecend to me because I know a lot more than you may think. After all I'm one of those super smart root users you were talking about, ROTFL!

BTW You said "if you care to look"...well, who exactly do you think started this thread? Do you "care to look"? I'll wait...oh yeah it was ME!! I know what the program is called. FYI: you acting like that makes you look bad not me.

Yes, I am aware that you started the thread. But remember your reply was personally directed to/at me. I was discussing product in my post. I think that we can state our opinions without getting personal but, FYI: if you direct your comment to me personally, then expect me to answer. :p

Regarding PC Studio - I stand corrected if that is the case.

On a product that I am not familiar with, I prefer a video tutorial to a manual. Before I got my SB2 last year I viewed as many as I could get my hands on. And I sat through the entire 1.5 hour video for Google Wave and all of the Swype videos LOL. So, I am not opposed to that at all.

The point I was making is that these vids are primarily for getting newbies up and running and for giving tips on how to get the most out of the product (rather than "tech support" as we know it). That is the gist of the other vids that are posted there. But hey, anything is possible I suppose!

I can see your point, and I certainly respect your candor and your passion for this phone. I happen to feel that any release of product info for our phone, directly from Samsung is a step, however small, in the right direction. Since we can submit questions I say we all ask about updates and let them dodge the questions. Sometimes non-answers say more than answers. It's just nice to know that they even remember this phone exists. We have not been completely forgotten.
