So here's the deal, I have been looking at tablets since i realized it was easier to carry around than my computer, better for taking notes in my courses. I was looking to buy something cheap, probably on ebay, and i have been looking for input.... Do you think you could help?
    Please and thank you ^^

    *note i suppose*
Im not necessarily looking for speed or processing, i.e. i dont need the best, i want something functional, that i can take notes in and later pass on to my comp, perhaps also maybe one that doesnt look just like the ipad? in any case im also looking for a cheap one too, i am a broke college student after all

zt-180 has pretty good feedback. its a little over $200. its a 10" screen so probably better for typing notes. i'm thinking about getting one myself...

Keep in mind that most current Chinese Android tablets have resistive screens. To effectively use one of these for note taking you'll probably need to type using your fingernails or a stylus...

...or perhaps use the stylus to draw the notes, like we all used to do in the good old PDA age. :)

Although there are few android apps that assume resistive screen.

Wouldn't I still be able to type with a resistive screen, maybe with a bit more force I guess but you can still 'touch' it, no?

Yes... but it's not always as accurate. Using a stylus will likely get you the correct key pressed (though not always). Using a finger might get you one of the neighboring keys (depending on the size of your fingers, the tablet and keyboard in question, and the phase of the moon. LOL).

    Using a finger SHOULD work...

And yes, I'm in love with my zt180, but I'm a geek.

I have to think about it, really i just want something basic (for now) i'm a geek, but a poor one, and though i realize, yes i can take notes in a plain ol' notebook, i'd prefer to get something which could double as an e reader for all of my Biochem books lol

ive been hearing a lot of good things of this ZT180, ive also joined another forum for it, where they are lightly pressuring me to get one (they highly suggest it of course). For now i'm looking at my options, I mean, i could go with a basic cheap one on ebay, or i could splurge a bit more and get a better one i suppose. but i have to decide by monday..... LOL (paycheck time!)

According to my research, tablets with a capacitive screen are no good for notetaking using a stylus. With a resistive screen be better? Has anybody used a tablet with a resistive screen for this purpose (handwritten notetaking)? Any recommendations as to brand?
