I have seen a few of these threads but no one has done a survey. I personally have Dolphin HD and like it pretty well up to this point. What is everyone else's opinions and why??

    1. Dolphin
    2. Opera
    3. Dolphin HD
    4. Skyfire

Opera -- It is incredibly fast and lightweight. When I say fast, I mean pages load twice as fast as with Dolphin HD. I am also a fan of the little cursor you can move around with the ball.

Opera is the fastest by far but renders pages awkwardly and input fields like to not pop up. I use regular dolphin by default, both fast and feature filled.

I fall back on Opera all of the time. Speed > page quality.

Opera is going to win but it is my second choice. I use Skyfire, I like having flash (well not real flash but it looks fantastic) and the pages load correctly, everything is located where I think it should be.
Dolphin Browser HD has tabs. I like it so it is my third choice.
I will take Page Quality > Speed.
I hardly notice a difference in speed even when using Opera. Not sure why.

I used to love Dolphin, then discovered Opera which is amazing in terms of speed, but not so great in terms of how it renders the page.

Now my favorite is xScope, which falls in between those two... faster than Dolphin and much much better page rendering than Opera.

P.S. This thread got me to try Skyfire, which I like pretty much right now. I hadn't considered it because of all the bad experiences I had with Skyfire on WindowsMobile, but the Android version looks to be much improved.

I have to say it is a pretty close tie with Dolphin and Opera for me.

I'd probably go with Opera, although I've been messing around with Dolphin, Dolphin HD, and skyfire, and the stock browser for the heck of it. It seems like each has its pros and cons. Hopefully I'll pick a favorite soon..

I liked some of the feedback I saw about Dolphin over Opera. I tried Dolphin and liked it. I ran into a minor problem after the install (it made some things on the screen a little weird. In particular the clock). I will try a reload and reboot I am sure that will resolve it. Dolphine looks promising.

First of all pinch to zoom is an iPhone thing and frankly I find it inconvenient to use in comparison to tap to zoom. That said, I find regular dolphin to be the best all around browser.

Dolphin HD for me. I like how it renders pages, pinch to zoom, program exit, bookmarks to SD and more. It's plenty fast imo.

I installed Dolphin HD last night, and was gitty like a school boy to try it out.

Customized some gestures and was ready to dive in.

Pinch and zoom, double tap and scrolling with my finger caused my screen to do things I never thought possible. It took me 5 minutes to be thrown in to a rage of frustration before I uninstalled it. After I uninstalled it, I was unable to unlock my screen. I powered on and off 3 or 4 times before I could finally access my phone, which thankfully is working fine. I can avoid a hard reset.

Anyone else experience the same issues? I'm wondering if the screen protector I'm using has made it harder for Dolphin HD to recognize te 3 million different gestures and features that come with the app.

I'm kinda disappointed that I can't use it... boo hoo:(

Used to use Dolphin but recently swithced to Opera and absolutely love it! It loads pages so much faster than Dolphin for me and is tons better with Facebook than Dolphin was. The Facebook pages would always jump around w/ Dolphin while waiting for it to load and many times accidently poked someone, hit a wrong link, etc because the page would take so long to load. With Opera - it's wham-bam there and loaded. I like the GUI much better with Opera, also. The only thing I miss w/ Dolphin is the various zoom levels with pinch to zoom- Opera seems to only have one with a tap of the screen - unless I'm missing something

Opera is music to my eyes...

I have now tried them all and xscope is definitely my fav. Has almost the speed of opera with the features of dolphin. My only question is what you get in the paid version that isn't in the lite version?

I use the original opera mini which as I've noticed is no longer in the market. I guess replaced by opera mini 5.

That's what I meant, Opera mini 5 beta. By far the fastest browser just has some little quirks here and there.

X-Scope. As the others said about the speed and features, but what got me is the single-finger pin-zoom -- tap/tap-hold/drag left-right and the page zooms. Love that feature.
Task Killer (Not too good) and File explorer (Ehhhh) are the major things. But yeah, that's what you get.
