Best Buy Replacement/Exchange TroubleSupport

    Has anybody had any luck exchanging a defective Droid X at their local best buys?

    My headset speaker is distorted (similar to a few others on here). I purchased from Best Buy and I'm supposed to have a 30 day no worry exchange or return policy, but when I called to inquire about exchanging they act like I'm just another annoying person asking about the out of stock phone.

    They refused to hold one for me or put me on a list of any kind to get one in order. In fact they say that they aren't even keeping a list, and its just first come first serve. Apparently my only options are to call in each morning (which already annoys them apparently) or drive there and check their store.

    I even tried calling Verizon tech support and telling them my situation to see if they can force Best Buy to hold one (they can't). They also told me that Verizon is completely out of stock of replacements (refurbished, set aside, etc..) AND brand new phones. They wouldn't even put me on a list for a future ship date.

    Am I just completely screwed here?

    Yes, I have. Bought a Dinc from BB. Went to replace due to bad screen within the 30 days but they were out of stock. They couldn't get any in. Options 1) return for refund. I could not get anther within the 30 days, so either refund now or file a claim with the VZW insurance I pay for with the $50 fee. That was not an option. I called VZW and they agreed to send me a new one when they came in stock. Not a refurb either. However, that was a nightmare. A month later, said still on back order, but will get one. Next month still on order, but should have in a couple weeks. Two weeks later, they said there is no record of me getting one! Argued over again, and they would send one next month when in stock again. Called and date moved again. Called to cancel and get refund. No deal since I ordered from BB. I said I could have refunded within the 30 days but VZW said I'd get a new one. Sorry, we'll order one for you. I said No, I don't want to wait another month on top of the months I already ordered. Finally they said OK, we'll refund your BB purchase. Called next day to verify. Said when they receive my phone, they will send a new one. Once again, I stated NO, want a refund as promised yesterday! Finally got RMA slip to mail back. THey now have it and have refunded my money. What a pain.

    Omg that's the most ridiculous paragraph/experience I've ever read on the internet. I would kill myself if I went through that lol.
