The official one doesn't give you notifications for comments..ect anyone suggest anything better?
It's a bit of a black hole for Android at the moment. The official one is working OK for me (apart from the known notification error which is recent). Bloo once worked OK but I believe has run into trouble.
I think we need to wait for either a new app or for the "official" app to sort itself out.
Amazing, FB is the only app that Blackberry has that's loads better then this.
wonder if the release of the 2.1 sdk will help with the official one...atm i dont particularly care about the notifications, since i get an email when there is a post/reply/message etc...
i think the official FB app works great... EXCEPT for how it kicks you over to the WEB version for some things... like pictures or following up on a notification... c'mon FB app developers!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bloo is the only opposition for the official app, i prefer the official one tho
Ya they both are lacking, I just chose Bloo because I read good things about it. But recently it has been bugging me by notifying me of things more than once.
i choose bloo. the native app is terrible, imo. the one thing i wish there was, was the ability to sync contacts.. am i missing something?
Bloo by far.
You can sync your contacts. Go into the Android Settings menu, tap Accounts & Sync, and you should see Facebook in there. Tap that and there's a box for syncing contacts. I'm sure you did already, but just in case, one has to log into the nativa app for this to show. These steps are for the Nexus One btw; I'm not sure if it's the same for other phones.
I think using the Browser is the best option as of now. You can do practically everything in the browser. The only downfall is that you won't get any notifications, but I have Motoblur, so that's no problem.
I use both Bloo and standard FB app. I just can't seem to settle on one.
I got the new Nexus One last week--my first smart phone! It only took me two days of using the native app before I realized it didn't give notifications and I ditched it. I haven't tried other FB clients, but the mobile version of their site seems to have everything I need (like notifications, FB phonebook), and the interface is easy enough. There's no need for an app here, as far as I'm concerned
Is facebook syncing a 2.0 feature only. I can't seem to find it where
Wow that sucks. I will never have that feature then
never say never
Being that tmobile hasn't felt it is warranted to tell us anything.. I think its safe to assume.lol
