    Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knew a good GPS sharing app for the Droid so that my family can follow along with me on my trip back from college. I take a bunch of different people back with me, and figured if there was an easy way to share my GPS location (constantly refreshing) on a website for their family along as well, it'd help out a lot (especially with me! haha)

    anyone have any recommendations?

You could try Google Latitude- lets you share your location with whoever you want... there's a layer for it as part of the Droid's map app.

My experience with Latitude has been a negative one. It just isn't accurate enough... nor does it update frequently enough. (if it feels like updating at all.)

I still can't believe they bill it as "Real-time tracking".

yea I wasn't sure how well Google Latitute works

and GPS Status just let's me send it one time, I rather have it constantly be beaming out my GPS location so they can follow it on the map (either live, or just hitting refresh on their web browser)

That looks awesome... but it also looks web-based. If it would integrate into google maps like Latitude does, We would definitely have a winner here.

Its perfectly accurate if the person who is being tracked has GPS on. But if your phone is sleeping or you switch from a GPS app like maps to some other app like the phone, GPS goes off and the location reverts to the location of the cell tower your phone is using.

This saves battery but is still a weak spot for locale.

SeeMyWhere is a bit simplistic but works well for me either in cell triangulation or gps modes.
