Best Media Center OS

Hi,

Im looking to install a media center based OS on my PC and wondered if anyone had experience in them/could recommend one?
I've tried Kodi on windows so was thinking of installing an OS that uses that.
I have my PC connected to the living room TV so pretty much only use Kodi, steam and a few other programs,

I still intend to keep windows for now so I was going to boot this from my external hard drive for now until I get it up and running properly

At the moment the ones that seem most likely are Kodibuntu or openELEC but thats only after a brief search, any other suggestions??
