Best Reminders/To Do Apps for Android?

I have been an iPad user for quite some time and I have enjoyed using apps such as Apple's own Reminders app and the Due app. Also, I've worked with To Do apps such as Clear, OmniFocus, LifeTopix, and Things. Now that I have a Nexus 7 I am looking for both a good Reminders type of app and a To Do app. Any suggestions of Android apps that are similar to these? Thanks!

TBH I just use the standard Google Now for reminders. Can't say for the Nexus, but on the Galaxy S phones running Jelly Bean, go to your home screen then hold the menu (left) key to open it. The Nexus should run it a similar way. I like Now because the voice recognition is really good and I can quickly tap it, say something like "remind me in 15 minutes to check dinner" and your phone will remind you. Quick, easy and simple.

Reminders in Google Now is very basic, but I would give that a shot first and see if it meets your needs. I've was a long time Astrid user, but it went down hill IMO, and now that Yahoo owns it, things can only get worse. I've switched to Tasks, which is an Astrid fork that seems have eliminated some of the bothersome "features" of Astrid.

I depend on Google-syncing GoTasks to organize my scatterbrain, but no one I recommend it to likes it as much as I do... you’re next.

I have not found one better. Plus if you use Google Chrome browser on your PC you can download a plugin for Any.do to sync the app on your mobile and PC.
