I have tried doing a search for RSS so I could just read older posts but it says there was no matches for it in this thread.

I was an avid user of Viigo for my BlackBerry, and would like to find out what the best RSS reader is for the droid. I would love to find one that would push, but I am not sure if I will. I like getting my news right now if possible.

What does everything else use? For the time being I just have Google Reader bookmarked.

    Thanks for your help!

I was a huge Viigo user, too. The closest I could find is NewsRob. It syncs with GReader, so you add your RSS feeds through GReader.

    Hope that helps.

If you are looking for a free rss reader then NewsRob is, imo, the best choice. If you don't mind paying the I would definitely suggest Greed.

Going to check out both of these options. It would be neat to sync with my greader account as well.

    Thanks!

Personally, I would go with NewsRob. It does a lot of the same things Greed does, and IMO, the ui is better.

Thats what I was thinking too. Plus I like the option it has to cache to the memory card rather then phone memory.

I love that option. It's especially great for someone like me who still has a non-rooted G1, and have VERY little internal memory to begin with.

I used Viigo on my BB too. Now I just go to GReader in my browser and read my feeds straight from there. What's the point of having another app taking up room when GReader does it just fine? Also, if I find something I want to remember for later or a video I can't watch on my phone, I star it for when I'm on my PC.

Yeah thats what I was just thinking. These apps are nice but I find the touch version of greader over the browser to be fairly decent enough to use unlike the mess it is on a BlackBerry. I just set it up as a home screen icon.

I use Netvibes as a personal dashboard on my PC, and they have a nice mobile version as well. Great tool for RSS feeds, widgets, etc. Better than iGoogle IMHO.

I actually just bought AnyRSS reader widget (approximately $0.75), and I've got to say it is amazing. I love widgets too so, for me, its way better.

I'm not sure if it can sync with greader though. I don't mind that it can't though.

If you like widgets you should check it out.

I had Newsrob on my Droid until I discovered News Room. VERY impressive. The RSS feeds look just great, and it syncs the second you open it up. It's a pay-for app, but well worth it. The second I saw it I uninstalled Newsrob. Seriously.

I also use and enjoy News Room. I used the trial first and when it expired I bought the program since I liked it.

I use beyondpod. It is also a pay app but well worth it. It syncs with google reader and does an excellent job of streaming video embedding into posts and handles podcasts very well as well.

I'm going to second the Greader suggestion. I don't see much of a point downloading RSS feeds when you can grab them online with little lag. I just put a shortcut to my bookmark on my homescreen and I'm all set.
