I am heading to Puerto Rico at the end of may and want to know what you all thought was the best English to Spanish and vice versa app to get on the Droid. I actually have a couple apps now but they are okay. Just wondering if there are better ones out there. This would be for the Moto Droid.

Download both Talk to Me and Google Translate.

I like that Talk to Me by default speaks the phrase for you as well as shows it, so you can present the phone to the person you're speaking with.

However, Google Translate offers alternatives (synonyms) which may help get your meaning across.

That's why I suggest you try them both. Either way, the Star Trek Universal Translator has almost arrived!

Hi Chuck1906,

We are developers of ScanDic Camera Translator, which is not the best translator app maybe, but probably one of the most special translator app.

In a few words, ScanDic allows you to take your android phone's camera, aim to an object, a paper, a panel, or anything in your real world, and instantly translate the words or sentences on the objects into the language you understand. ScanDic is able to recognize Chinese, English and 15 other European languages, including Spanish:D
