I'm new to Android, the Evo is my first Android phone, and I love it so far, but none of the Twitter clients seem to match up to Ubertwitter, which I had for my Blackberry. The Twitter clients are all faster and nicer to read, but each one of them seems to be missing some nice features. So I'm curious what everyone's favorite Twitter client is?

I'd like to have a Twitter client that has the option to retweet the old way and new way, that geotags my location, gives me a notification when my name is mentioned, that runs smooth and doesn't feel too cluttered. Right now my two favorites are Touiteur and Twitter for Android, but neither seem perfect so I'm wondering if there's something better. Twidroid is okay but I didn't like it as much. So I'd love to hear what other people are using and some suggestions!

By the way, if you want to follow me: twitter.com/epmckenna :D

Tried a few, really liked Twidroid. Full version (paid for) has a very nice widget, and the whole app seems a little more fully functional than even the 'official' Twitter app and Seesmic.

These things though are very personal, taste-wise, so don't take my word for it!

I hadn't tried Twicca before, just trying it now. Seem to like it so far! I'd like the official Twitter for Android app if it allowed me to retweet both ways instead of only the new way of RT. That's my only problem with it.

I think the built in Peep is better than twidroid.

I used to use Touiteur, Hoot Suite, and Tweetcaster(this one mainly) but downloaded Twicca today. VERY nice app. Try it out.

Yes, I'm LOVING Twicca. It's very clean and straightforward. Does everything I need it to do.

Update: I've settled on my Twitter apps. I think the official Twitter for Android app is the best full, but WITH the RT update to it that someone posted earlier on this thread.

However, HTC's Twitter widget (connected with HTC Peep) is by far the best Twitter widget. I love having a whole home page dedicated to Twitter so I don't even have to open an app. I would highly recommend it to any other Twitterers here -- It's very useful and it makes the other Twitter widgets seem puny. As a whole, I've found many of the HTC widgets are better than the Android counterparts.
