So I know that there have been a million threads on the screen separation at th bottom, but this seems to be slightly different.

I noticed some white in between the glass of the screen and the bezel (the part that lines up the volume rocker). Upon further inspection it would seem that the bezel on the right side of the phone (especially right near the volume rocker) allows something as thick as a notecard to be inserted there and slid almost all the way up/down the right side of the phone. I can't get the notecard in on the left side in between the glass and the plastic.

Also, I can't push the bezel to make it closer to the screen. I have light leakage at the bottom which can be helped by pressing the glass down there. The same can't be said for the right side.

Anyone else have this/hear about someone having this. I'm waiting on HTC Escalations to finish their "investigation" about the problem with the screen separation, but this is just ridiculous.

Had the same issue, the gap kept getter larger... I had mine replaced. So far no issues two weeks in with the new.

Were you out of the 30 day window? (I am). I'm still trying to wait for a confirmed production run that alleviates the light leakage problem at the bottom, but I guess I at least now have several issues that should warrant a replacement through warranty/TEP.

I could do the same thing with my phone and returned it and had to pay a restocking fee. I waiting for the Epic now.

HTC dropped the bomb on this one when it comes to quality control.

I'm happy with the phone and its functionality in so far that I never contemplated returning it, but the build quality issues are frustrating.

My first EVO had this problem, and I had it replaced. My replacement EVO developed this issue as well, although the gap is not as noticeable as the one on the first EVO.

Yeah, I can slide a normal piece of paper pretty much up and down the whole thing. I noticed it after seeing the incredible amount of dust caught in there - it almost looks like the actual edge is bowed out a bit on mine. I see no point in getting it replaced yet since by all accounts these build problems will just come up again. Until it's actually fixed in production, running to the store and demanding a replacement is just a waste of everyone's time and money...

I think my phone is on it's way to doing the same thing. It's not separated enough for me to slide something in between, but there's definitely a white line in between the screen and the bezel. At first I thought it was just the screen protector's depth that was catching the light, but I remembered that there wasn't a line there at the beginning...I bought mine from Wirefly, so I don't really know what choice I'd have with returning/replacing it.

Same thing here. The bezel looks bowed out slightly above the volume rocker and the gap is slight bigger the whole length on that side. I have some light leakage under the four bottom buttons (mainly home buton) as well and a litlle up the sides. Everything else is good on and I'm about 2 weeks in. I'm waiting a bit more bfore I pass judgement on keep or return or exchange.
