Bionic 5.9.232 New Leak 7/6/2012

That has been there since day one, not ICS specific. It's how we were getting data to (occasionally) work in the original ICS4BIONIC (CM9-based) ROMs back in February....

Surprised you didn't run across it already. If you haven't, please (thoroughly) read Thom's stickied post at the top of this forum: http://androidforums.com/motorola-droid-bionic/438060-bionic-reference-terms-links.html

In it, in the first link under the show button, you'll be directed to http://androidforums.com/motorola-droid-bionic/421050-post-your-tips-bionic-here.html which, in this post - http://androidforums.com/motorola-droid-bionic/421050-post-your-tips-bionic-here.html#post3582099 - you'll see that same thing.

Thom has spend many many hours on this (I'd say cumulatively he's prolly spent well over 1700 hours on the main post, not to mention all the other contributions he has made in the other posts that he links to). You'll be amazed at what you can find in there....

You could try asking in the ... http://androidforums.com/motorola-droid-bionic/621020-246-ics-leak-your-information.html ... to see it it was fixed by a leak later than 6.7.232. If it was then you would have the dilemma of weather or not to install something from which you can not get back to 5.9.905.

That's the problem. I don't want to go somewhere that I can't come back from, as none of the "upgrades" have really accomplished anything. The 232 has made my battery use horrible; I can't even come close to making it through the day wihtout charging, and I don't talk on my phone much (about 300 minutes a month). I think I'll just wait for the OTA ICS to come out.

It seems the .232 leak is not working for you. I would flash back to .905 using rsdlite and wait till the official ICS comes out where most of the kinks are worked out. The problem with installing leaks is they are leaks and not everything is going to work. I believe that bluetooth and battery are fixed in .246 but you will not be able to go back to 5.9.905.

No ... I guess I'm mumbling again ... two steps ...

1. Ask in the 6.7.246 thread if it is actually fixed.
2. If it is, determine if you want to get on that path that can't get back to the ICS OTA or return to 5.9.905 and wait for the OTA.

As you might (or might not) know I am on 5.9.905 and am waiting for the ICS OTA.
