Well just recieded it the mail today so have not used it once yet while it charges. Anyways anyone want me to test anything out for them or what not and i got 2 pics of it and if you need others ill do my best to get them posted.

The first thing i noticed it is lighter then my jabra 5010 which is nice and the power plug is same as the Inc. bad thing is the power cable it comes with is that it's only a foot long so im using my kindle power connector to charge it.

It sounds great. Been using mine at work for two days now. Battery life is excellent so far. After a 12 hour shift, maybe 30-40 minutes of talk time, battery level was at medium. Voice commands for 2.1 do not work but at least the phone book can be loaded so you know who is calling without having to look at the phone. Wind noise is non existent for me driving with the window down. Volume control can be turned up pretty loud. Music streams over it and sounds pretty good for being in just one ear.

Nice! Where did you order it from? I want one, but I am unsure how well it would sound in my tractor trailer I drive.

I'm not a trucker but the volume can be turned up pretty loud. It says it is wind resistant to 22 MPH. For the first time, my wife didn't complain about me having the window down on the car while I was talking to her. Either she didn't feel like bitchin' or didn't notice it. From experience, she must not have noticed.
I had to order from myblueant.com

Just a quick question regarding the T1. Does it have a microUSB connection like the DI does or is it a miniUSB? It would be nice to be able to use the same cable to charge this bluetooth as my Incredible uses.

It has micro USB like the Incredible .... I was going to get the Q1 but it only has mini and the motorala H17 with motospeak retails at 99.99 so this is much more reasonably priced.

I noticed it has an Android app and up to 8 speed dial options. Can this be setup so I can initiate speed dial voice commands with the T1/Q1 and my HTC Legend running Android 2.1?

I understand that Android 2.1 and below has no voice control but if this works, it's not a bad alternative.

Are you saying there is a Market app? If so, toss me a name? Can't seem to locate it...

FWIW, just received my T1 today, and the clarity is superb. Haven't delved into all the features, but the pairing/phonebook sync is seamless and the voice announcement of incoming calls is excellent.

Sorry my bad, I think it only works for the BlueAnt Q1 and you need a device with Android 2.0+.

Can the T1 initiate speed dial calls with Android handsets? I can't stand that my Android 2.1 device doesn't have bluetooth voice dialing!

I bought one of these. I really like it, it works great everywhere except in the tractor trailer I drive. Must be something in it. But it sounds very clear in my end! I love the way the T1 talks to you.

I bought a Jawbone Icon and the sound on my end is not that good, but it works in my truck.

I am thinking of selling the T1, but not sure yet. Because I can use it in my personal vehicle. Not sure what I am going to do.

I've used both, and I found the Q1 to be just a bit better than the T1. While I haven't tested the 22 mph wind calim, I have found that the "voice isolation max" setting on the Q1 is phenomenal - used the dreaded "running the kitchen faucet" test, and the results were astounding

I have both the jawbone icon (Hero) and the Blueant T1. I got them both to see which I'd like better. I bought the Jawbone at Best Buy yesterday and wore it most of the day, then just received my BlueAnt in the mail today (after ordering it just two days ago!). The Jawbone sounded good on my side, but the volume was lower than the BlueAnt and there's no way to control it. I also had a hard time finding an earbud that fit my ear. For the jawbone's noise cancellation to work, it needs to rest on your cheek, so I couldn't use an ear hook because that pulled it away from my cheek. I was left with trying other options, and finally found something that worked, but after a few hours, it got a bit uncomfortable. I called my house and left myself a voicemail to see how the voice quality was on the other end. It sounded a bit muffled, but was pretty clear. On the other hand, I tried the same thing with the BlueAnt, and it sounded crisper and louder. Setup was a breeze with both devices; no problems pairing it with my EVO (yes, I know this is an Incredible thread). Disappointed that I can't do voice dialing on it, but the voice prompts on the T1 are very cool and work incredibly well. I also found it easier to tap the controls on the side of the T1 as opposed to the back of the Icon. The chargers are interchangeable, and in fact, charged the BlueAnt on my Icon charger. :) And yes, I installed the T1 Market App to do the initial pairing, etc. EZ. Overall, I think I like the T1 better, but I'll keep the Jawbone Icon as my backup in case I have problems with the T1's earbud falling apart (like the Q1 seemed to do).

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that there is also a "volume" widget that gets installed so you can raise/lower your in-call volume and media volume without touching the headset. And yes, there are volume controls on the headset as well (unlike the Jawbone).

    I have an evo too;
what can you do with the voice commands on the T!?
does it read your text messages?
Can you say "dial home", and it actually dials?

    thanks! :)

someone's probably already done this or mentioned it or something of the nature, but just thought i'd toss it out there in case.......

so, i purchased a T1 for use with my N1 and really liked it's feature set. my main complaint with it however has been the in-ear design pieces. not only do they hurt my ears slightly, they don't hold the headset upright, it kind of droops out of my ear and looks somewhat ******iculous. i wasn't impressed with the ear hook either as it wasn't a solid hold onto my ear and could easily fall off my ear if any sudden head movements were made...... like say a sneeze.

sooo..... i have a cheap pair of skullcandy ink'd headphones (best headphones for $20 in my opinion) that i love and i noticed that they ear "gels" on them have approx the same size diameter fitting as the T1's in-ear fittings. (i bet you know where this is going)

    Viola!!!

if you are fond of in-ear headphones like i am then definitely give this a shot. the comfort is phenomenal, the headset no longer droops down and i am sooooo much happier now. i suppose the only slight downside (might be a positive for you) is that my ear is now sealed more and blocks out more background noise. good for calls, but not as much when i'm playing bfbc2 on ps3, i don't want one ear practically shut off to the game sound.

i think i'm going to hit up ebay to see if i see any replacement skullcandy ink'd ear gels as i now have an orphaned earbud in need of one. i'm sure there are many other brands/models of which their ear gel will work, but here is one that you know will work perfectly.

enjoy your T1 and it's new found comfort.

do you get audio breakup when listening to music through the T1?
I wanted to like them, and replace my Jawbone Icon with it, and the phone call quality is great, but, on those rare occasions that I listen to music through my headset, there is alot of breakup with them, and NOT with the Jawbone..the sound is alot better on the T1 when they arent breaking up, but that breakup is annoying. Using them with an EVO4G..

So the bottom line is that this doesn't work with voice commands at all? That's disappointing? I had heard that this was one way around the voice command limitation inside 2.1. From what I had heard, you run the blue ant app on the phone and use it with the headset to get around the voice command thing. Very disappointed. I guess I won't bother purchasing a BT headset until I get mah froyoz on.

well, it reads your text messages to you, tells you, by name, who is calling you, if they are in your address book, and you can do a couple of things like check battery level and get free 411 information with it now.
Also, with an app called vlingo, you can use it for voice dialing, and other voice commands, like search, and text, but the app is 9.99 in the app store
its a definite upgrade from all other headsets, as far as interoperability with Android, but until 2.2, we wont have NATIVE ability to do everything

Do any of you T1 owners have the volume widget working correctly in Android? I haven't been able to get that to work on my Evo. It would be such a great widget to have working.

I bought both tonight at best buy to try out (figured I have 30 days so why not). I'm really on the fence with this.

The T1 has many more features and I really like how it reads the contact name and text message out to you (I had no issues downloading and setting up the android app). I also like how the volume buttons are readily available (although its a little bulky for my taste) and the sound quality while listening to music is much better - but sometimes it tends to cut in and out every few seconds until I reset my phone - never had this issue with the jawbone. However, the biggest thing is it doesn't cancel out noise anywhere near the Jawbone...and the person on the other end said that I don't come across as clear as with the jawbone either (it sounds more muffled) but the price range for features is definitely better.

The Jawbone is nice because its smaller, and it actually fits inside my ear better - I read a lot of people saying it didn't fit well, but right out of the box it feels snug in my ear. I also like how the noise cancellation on this set is unreal - I seriously had all 4 windows down driving 45-50 mph, had the radio at a reasonable volume, and had the vents blowing at max inside the car and the person on the other end said she couldn't tell - again - unreal. However the features are lacking and the MyTalk website isn't the best.

I'm leaning more towards the jawbone at this point because I feel what good are features if the person on the other end can't hear you as clear...right? I mean after all it IS a headset for talking. I still have time to decide though.

Here is a video I found helpful online comparing the two - I have the same experiences when questioning people i'm talking to as well during testing of these devices.
